Dean Assimakopoulos, better known as Dean Asimos, is a Graphic Designer and Illustrator who graduated at the American Academy of Art College. At a young age, Dean always loved to draw. During class he would doodle on his notecards creating characters and playing games he would make up on his notebook paper. For instance, he would draw a stick figure in the room and have him run an obstacle course that he the creator would design. With that simple creativity emerged a window for him to tell stories through his works. Because of this realization Dean decided to become an Illustrator so that one day eventually he can pursue his dream of creating stories from his writings and drawings for others to see.

When I was little, I was always so fixated with cartoons. I would always go out of my way to watch the ones on nickelodeon or cartoon network because there used to be a time I wasn’t allowed to. When watching cartoons, I became obsessed with them. The art styles, stories, lessons, and creativity taught me how to really harness my own creative style of artwork. These are the many techniques I adopted to make my artwork. I have drawn many things over the years. I used to make a lot of my own cartoons and write stories about them as well. These would later be used for my various posters and logo designs that I would make over my career.
Designing is truly a privilege in my eyes. It really does go into anything & that is why after graduating from American Academy of Art College I decided to go into Graphic Designs. Because if there was one thing I appreciated about comics and cartoons, it is the choices in designs that really drives me to do the same in any shape or form.
